I’ve ordered and returned tons of items on the hunt for only the best of Amazon Swim Essentials.
Swimsuits
This Cupshe one-piece swimsuit is a ribbed knit with perfect lines. It’s very slimming with the low v-neckline, wrap detail, and ruffle. I love this plum-taupe color, but it also comes in pretty olive green and a gorgeous yellow (perfect for tan skin). The back is medium coverage. I wear a size medium, so I’d say go true to
This La Blanca One Piece is incredibly flattering and high quality. It’s pricey, but this one will last for years. The shirred tummy and “moderate” rear coverage make this one a great mom suit. I bought the green one last year. This one runs true to size. I wear an 8.
The only two-piece on my list, this Cupshe suit is a flattering cut for my “mom bod.” Ha ha. Which means it’s full coverage on the tummy and doesn’t show your entire rear end. There are several prints, but this one is my favorite. I also like how the top comes down lower to provide more coverage. The bottom gives medium coverage for the behind without being “cheeky.”
Coverups
This coverup is the perfect shade of cream, and it feels like it will hold up through several washes. The length is good for my 5’5″ frame, probably for up to 5’8″. The fabric is not sheer, but it’s still pretty lightweight. I think the color will stay fresh longer than white, and I’m loving the “natural” look for summer.
I bought this crochet coverup last year, and it’s still in great shape. I washed it in a lingerie bag like this one. It comes in several colors. I also love the black and the beige colors. It is my favorite for the beach. It covers without being hot.
I haven’t tried this one yet, but I love the cut. It has great reviews and runs true to size. It’s currently hanging out in my cart until payday. I love that it’s got a little more coverage, but still feels beachy. The raw hem ruffle details on the sleeve are so cute. It will probably need to be washed in a garment bag and hang dry, but I’m ok with that.
Accessories
This straw market tote is perfect for so many things. I use it when I need to bring a change of clothes, carry bulky items, or if I’m headed to the pool. It will stay stocked with my pool essentials this summer. It looks amazing with all of my swimsuits and is large enough to store everything I need. I searched high and low for a cheaper alternative, but they all fell short. This tote is it ya’ll: great quality, will last for years, leather straps, and two lengths of handles. Stop looking and buy it.
This Tesalate Sand Free Microfiber Beach Towel is a must for the beach. Sand doesn’t stick to it, and it rolls up incredibly small, leaving plenty of space in your beach tote. The patterns from this brand are great, and it’s reversible. Mine from last year still looks like new. I want to find a cheaper option for the kids this year. I’m done carrying armloads of bulky towels!
These Havaianas flip flops hold up well, and they are very comfortable. There is a reason they cost $20. The quality is top notch. I buy a pair every summer and leave them in my pool/beach bag. You won’t regret this purchase.
These polarized sunglasses from Amazon are a great buy at $13 each (two for $22). They give a designer look, without having to worry about taking care of expensive lenses. I love that they are polarized too, providing great protection from sun. The size is technically unisex, but they are too small for my husband. I love the fit almost as much as my Oakley’s.
While it’s technically not an accessory, Loving Tan Dark Tanning Mousse is a must for me. I don’t want to be in a swimsuit without a killer tan. You need an applicator mitt like this one. I prefer the original formula. Not only is it cheaper, but it also lasts longer than the express. I use the dark color, and it doesn’t appear orangey. Make sure to apply lotion to your knees, elbows, and feet before you do self-tanner. Otherwise, those areas will look terrible, and you’ll be frantically scrubbing your skin raw before you go to the pool. Talking from experience here….
I actually use this on my face too. I do it at night before bed, and it doesn’t make me break out. Also, if the formula rubs off a little on sheets or clothes, it washes right out. I think it smells good too. Definitely give this stuff a try!
I think that’s about it. Let me know if you try anything I recommended. As always, thank you for reading and supporting my little blog. It means the world to me!
