Take advantage of the early sales and get ready for Spring with a few strategic purchases. Here’s a rundown of the early spring trends this year and some ideas on how to incorporate them into your existing wardrobe.
I wouldn’t call myself a fashion expert, but I do spend a lot of time online shopping! As a marketing expert, spotting trends is second nature for me.
Practically, I like to see what is trending before I start buying things. I’ll usually make a handful of purchases at this time of year. I try to buy things to fill in the gaps from my winter purchases and grab a couple of trends to mix in.
Top Trends for Spring, and Where to Buy Them

1. White Boots and Shoes
I’m so here for this trend. Whether it’s booties, mules, sandals or knee boots, white shoes are a natural step from the light tan and nude that was popular this winter. They pair beautifully with the chalky pastel colors that are also popular.
I love a shorter bootie for their versatility — they work with dresses and pants. Taller white Western boots are a great option if you’re insecure about showing your legs. They look so stylish with dresses and shorts. I also included a few of my favorite flats and sandals.

2. Pastel Hues
I’m seeing this lavender, dusty blue, and sage green on all things from head to toe. From to workout wear to blazers, these colors are showing up everywhere. It’s gorgeous with white or paired with other pastels.

3. Fringe, Lace & Crochet Details
This trend is all about adding a texture and boho style to you outfit. These embellishments are popping up on dresses, sweaters, and tops. It’s everywhere! Also look for fun ties on the sleeves and wrists.

4. The Boyfriend Blazer
This trend has been popular for a while, but it’s back in an even bigger way. Pair this item with a dress to style it for work, or add jeans and a t-shirt to keep it casual. I plan to buy a blazer in one of the trend colors for spring: dusty blue, white, or light pink.
5. Loose Pants & ’90s Jeans
The baggy pants we’ve seen in the last couple of years are back. I love them for the office, but they are also great paired with a neutral bodysuit. That trend is still here too, BTW. Style tip: If the idea of a bodysuit makes you uncomfortable, buy pants that comes up high on the waist for tummy coverage. They are surprisingly flattering.
This could be unwelcome, but you’ll see even fewer skinny jeans this Spring. Wider legs and straight leg options are becoming even more popular. Mom jeans (and now “dad jeans”) are also still popular.

6. Florals
Floral prints have been popular for a while, and the trend isn’t going anywhere. Add in some ruffles for an extra feminine look. Dresses and skirts are also a great way to try this trend.
7. Bodysuits
Another must have is a great bodysuit. This fitted layer pairs perfectly with the oversized pieces for spring.
What I’m Buying
If you’re curious, I’ve already purchase a pair of white booties, a floral dress, and I plan to grab a blazer in the next month. I’m going to try to find a bodysuit and some ’90s jeans too.
