I’m constantly on the hunt for ways to whittle down my beauty routines to the bare essentials. The end goal is always, “How can I get ready as quickly as possible with the simplest routine?”
I understand that “simple” is relative, and for many, this list of products would not meet their definition of the word. For me, it works.
Even better than simple, this routine is quick, lasts all day, and makes me feel polished and confident. This post contains affiliate links. If you click these and make a purchase with the link active in your browser, I may get a small commission. (Thank you!)

Want a Tutorial?
Click here if you want to see a tutorial on how I got this look. I shared it to my Instagram page a few weeks ago. It’s very quick. To make it even faster, get into the habit of wearing the same makeup each day. As you practice, it will take less time, and you won’t have to think about each and every step. I usually just change up my lipcolor.
Take It Up a Notch
If you want to make this a little more polished, I add this foundation from Tarte and a warm brown eyeshadow from this palette. I will usually do this for an important meeting, church, or if I have a photo shoot.
Don’t Forget Your Skin
While I love makeup, nothing beats good skincare. You can see some of my skincare favorites on this post. I never ever go to sleep with my makeup on, and I make sure to clean my makeup sponge and brushes often. I love using a basic charcoal soap to get my brushes and sponge clean naturally.
