I love watching trends to see what is new and catching my eye. I saw the image below and immediately fell in love with the leather strap chairs.

The midcentury style is warm and casual with the teak wood and raw leather straps. Unfortunately, these gorgeous guys in the first photo cost $1700 each. Ouch. Definitely out of my budget. After a little bit of research, I found that the original design is by Jens Risom, a midcentury Asian designer. You can find vintage pairs like these below, but it would take some searching and cost quite a bit.

I put together a little graphic to give you some high and low options for this trend. I’m still looking for my perfect pair, but I love the natural, beige leather and teak frame best.
